Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's rooms are good despite a minor issue with dirty shoes not being kept out, and the view is not the best. The service staff are friendly and go the extra mile for guests, although there was a mix-up with the room category. The location is amazing next to a monastery away from city chaos, but a little out of the way. The dining experience, while below average, offers a good variety of cuisine with a fantastic view of Kanchenjunga on clear days. The facilities are well-maintained.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positive and negative experiences. The rooms were spacious, and the housekeeping service was excellent, though they were not as big as shown on the booking site. The staff were very polite and accommodating during the daytime. The location was perfect for a family trip, offering a great view from the suite room and a play arena for children. The dining experience was good, but it came at an added cost. Overall, I enjoyed my stay despite some minor drawbacks.
Staying at the Oyo Room in Sterling Darjeeling was a delightful experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and offered a good view, although there was an issue with the TV due to a recent storm. The service provided by the courteous staff was exceptional, going the extra mile to ensure a memorable stay. The location, nestled between Ghoom and Darjeeling, offered amazing views of the Kanchenjunga range and the serene Ghoom Monastery. However, the dining options, despite the friendly staff, lacked variety and taste.
The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with good room service and stunning Mountain View. The service is warm and friendly, ensuring the best possible satisfaction, especially thanks to Mr Mainak Mitra in Darjeeling. The location, except for the approach road, is excellent and provides some of the best views in the area. The dining experience, however, was disappointing in terms of variety and taste. Overall, a great choice for a peaceful stay with a unique advantage of proximity to the Ghoom Monastery and the station.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were amazing despite a few flaws like an old heater, and the location was fantabulous even though there were some drawbacks in the surrounding area. The service was nice and polite overall, but a negative encounter with the assistant front office manager affected the experience. The dining experience had its highs and lows, and the facilities were decent.
The Privilege Suite is a great option for families, offering a comfortable stay with a few drawbacks. The staff is attentive and goes above and beyond to cater to guests, although some location aspects may not be ideal.
